David Skerpon elected new HSO Board Chair, three new Board Members elected to serve
[Harrisburg, PA] – The Harrisburg Symphony announces David Skerpon as new Harrisburg Symphony Association (HSA) Board Chair. In addition, three new board members were also elected to serve.“It is an incredible honor to serve as Board Chair of the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra. I have deep respect for the extraordinary talent of our musicians, the visionary leadership of our Board, and the exceptional artistry of Maestro Stuart Malina, whose passion and creativity continue to inspire us all. I’m also grateful for the outstanding work of our Executive Director and dedicated staff, whose commitment behind the scenes makes everything possible. The Symphony is not only a source of world-class music, but a vital force that enriches lives and brings our community together,” stated David Skerpon, HSA Board Chair.
“I am extremely pleased to announce the election of David as Chair and the appointment of our new members to the HSO Board,” said Matthew Herren, Executive Director. “They are all active members of the community, with experience in service and a deep appreciation for the Symphony’s unique value in Harrisburg.”
The Harrisburg Symphony Association is pleased to announce the appointment of three new board members, whose terms commenced July 1.

The Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1931 and is now in its 96th season at the Forum Auditorium in Harrisburg, PA. The fully professional ensemble performs under the direction of Tony Award-winning Music Director and Conductor, Stuart Malina. The Symphony also presents an extensive music education program that includes concerts for school age children, in-school residencies, and the Harrisburg Symphony Youth Orchestras, which are comprised of approximately 150 elementary, middle, and high school students. The Harrisburg Symphony is governed by a 24-member Board of Directors and receives additional philanthropic support from the Harrisburg Symphony Society.
