HARRISBURG SYMPHONY ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD MEMBERS

Harrisburg, PA (August 3, 2022) – The Harrisburg Symphony Association is pleased to announce the appointment of three new board members.

  • Carole DeSoto, Arts Advocate, Community Volunteer, and President, Harrisburg Symphony Society
  • Paul Grego, Vice President, Investment Advisor, PNC Private Bank
  • Linda R. Pheasant, Arts Advocate and Community Volunteer

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of our new and returning members to the HSO Board of Directors,” said Matthew Herren, Executive Director. “Each is highly qualified with experience in leadership and service, along with their deep appreciation for our place in the community.”

The Harrisburg Symphony Association is a nonprofit organization with an annual budget of $3,000,000, overseen by a volunteer board of 26. Board members may serve up to three consecutive three-year terms.  The symphony receives additional philanthropic support from the Harrisburg Symphony Society. 

“I am delighted to welcome Carole, Paul, and Linda to the Harrisburg Symphony Association Board of Directors,” said Patricia Ferris, Board Chair. “They are committed to our mission, and I appreciate the strengths they bring to the HSO.”

The Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra presents inspiring symphonic music performed by its professional orchestra along with educational programs for audiences of all ages to enrich the cultural life of Central Pennsylvania. This regional jewel of talent is made up of 75 world-class musicians and led by Tony Award-winning conductor Stuart Malina. The Harrisburg Symphony has been providing symphonic music for the enjoyment of the region for more than 90 years.
